Day-01 Bhubaneshwar
Arrival Bhubneshwar welcomes you to the temple city of Bhubaneshwar. On arrival meet our representative & later transfer to your Hotel. Afternoon half day tour of Temple City. Finest temples are the Lingraj Temple, Rajrani Temple, Mukteshwar Temple, Parsurameshwar and Brahmeshwar Temple. These temples are some of the best specimen of the Orissa Temple architecture. Overnight at the hotel.
Day-02 Full day Excursion To Udaigiri - Lalitagiri- Ratnagiri
Today after breakfast shall drive for a full day excursion to the caves of Udaigiri, Lalitagiri and Ratnagiri. At Ratangiri two large Monasteries, a huge stupa, Buddhist shrines and several sculptures were surfaced. At Lalitgiri a series of brick pagodas, stone porches, prayer halls and Buddhist images were unearthed. At Udaigiri you can see magnificently carved door jamb of the Vihar and the superbly finished Buddha images of the post-Gupta period & lots of Buddhist sculptures. By late evening, you will come back to the hotel and stay for the night.
Day-03 Bhubaneswar To Puri via Dhauli, Pipli & Konark
After an early breakfast drive to Puri. Enroute visit Dhauli Peace Pagoda famous for the Ashokan rock edicts dating back to 2nd century B:C, Pipli -The colourful applique Village where you can see the colouful orissan handicrafts. Later proceed to the famous temple at Konark. See the beautiful Sun temple built in the 13th century in honour of the Sun God. Its exquisite carvings, the life-size statues of Lions and Elephants, colossal figures of warriors on horses, scenes of battle and the case-all testify to the high standard of ancient Indian art and architectural skill. On arrival at Puri check into Hotel. Evening free at Leisure. Overnight at the hotel.
Day-04 Puri
This morning visit the Lord Jagannath Temple built in the 15th century AD and crowned with Vishnu's wheel and flag dominate the landscape at Puri. The temple with its elaborate carvings and mouldings are very fine examples of Orissa architecture. Visit various temples & maths in and around Puri. Afternoon is free and you may visit the long stretch of golden beach, shallow enough to walk out a long distance, with superb surf. Overnight stay at hotel.
Day-05 Puri - Gopalpur-on-Sea (242 Kms.)
After breakfast, drive to Gopalpur - on – Sea, a quiet and charming sea resort along the Bay of Bengal. It offers secluded environment and magnificent sun, surf and sand for most of the year. On arrival check in to Hotel.Rest of the day at leisure at the beach. Overnight stay at hotel.
Day-06 Gopalpur-Barkul (Chilka Lake)
Morning post breakfast leave for Puri via Chilka lake, Spread over an area of 1,100-sq-km, the glorious stretch of the Chilika is Asia's largest brackish water lake. Home to thousands of colorful birds throughout the year, it is particularly noisy with the din of the raucous influx of migratory birds who descend on it from as far off as Siberia in winter. Overnight stay at hotel.
Day-07 Barkul to Bhubaneswar
Morning drive to Bhubaneswar. Enroute Visit Khandagiri & Udayagiri Caves. On arrival visit of some of the ancient temples of Bhubaneswar belonging to (7th---11th) century A: D i.e. Lingaraja temple, Parasurameswara temple, Mukteswara temple, Bramheswara temple, Raja-Rani temple etc. & Orissa State MuseumOvernight stay at hotel.
Day-08 Departure
After breakfast, you will be transferred to airport/railway station to catch the flight/train to home. On departure the tour concludes with happy memories.
